*New* Call for Proposals: Health and Extreme Weather Research Award Program

The Natural Hazards Center, with funding from the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation, has launched the Health and Extreme Weather Research Award Program to address gaps in knowledge about the health risks and consequences of wildfires, hurricanes, droughts, floods, extreme heat, and other extreme weather events. Findings from funded research will help communities across the United States understand and reduce health risks associated with extreme weather. The program’s call for proposals is now open; applicants are encouraged to review the full submission guidelines and attend an upcoming Proposal Information Q&A session to learn more.
